What type of mobile devices can be used to access accounts?

Mobile banking works with any mobile phone that allows texting or has mobile web. If you can text, you can use Hills Bank mobile banking.

Can I use multiple mobile phones or devices to access mobile banking?

Yes.

To add a mobile device:

  • Click the "Settings" button above to login to manage your phone devices
  • Click on "Phones"
  • Click the "Add a Number" button
  • Enter your phone details
  • Click "Continue"

Your mobile device will receive a text message with a verification code. Enter that code and click "Continue."


Can I use an iPod Touch or iPad to access mobile banking?

Yes. Hills Bank mobile banking will work with an iPod Touch and iPad as long as you have a WiFi connection.


How secure is mobile banking?

Hills Bank mobile banking is very secure. No account information is stored on your mobile device. A lost or stolen device has no more information than can be found within an ATM receipt. The only information that is stored on your mobile device are old text messages.

During the enrollment process, be sure to set up mobile account nicknames and do not use your account number as the nickname. Your mobile account nickname will be the name that is included in the text to request account information.


Can I view my accounts through mobile banking?

Yes. When you enroll in mobile banking, you select the accounts you wish to access. You may add or remove accounts that you access on your mobile device at hillsbank.mobi/enrollment or through your mobile device.


Are mobile banking transfers immediate?

Hills Bank mobile banking transfers are posted to your accounts the same as if they were made through Hills Bank Online. Transfers made prior to 10:00 pm CST will process the same business day. If the transfer is made after 10:00 pm it will be processed the next business day.


What if I get a new phone?

If you get a new phone but retain the same phone number and provider, no changes are necessary. If you switch providers and/or phone number, login to mobile banking and update your information on the phones page.

  • Click the "Settings" button above to login to manage your phone devices
  • Click on "Phones"
  • Click the "Add a Number" button
  • Enter your phone details
  • Click "Continue"

Your mobile device will receive a text message with a Verification code. Enter that code and click "Continue."


What if my mobile device is lost or stolen?

Even though account information is not stored on your mobile device, there are a few steps you can take to remove any mobile banking information from your device.

If you cannot quickly access mobile banking, you can have the contents cleared by calling the Hills Bank Contact Center at 1-800-HILLSBK (1-800-445-5725).

If you find the device and want to download Hills Bank mobile banking again, you may activate the device with the following steps.

  • Click the "Settings" button above to login to manage your phone devices
  • Click on "Phones"
  • Click the "Add a Number" button
  • Enter your phone details
  • Click "Continue"

Your mobile device will receive a text message with a verification code. Enter that code and click "Continue."
