America's Favorite Pastime: An Afternoon with Doris Montag and Dr. Ernie Found

America's Favorite Pastime: An Afternoon with Doris Montag and Dr. Ernie Found

With the new baseball season in full swing, Doris Montag is teaming up with her favorite sports collector, Dr. Ernie Found, to share history and stories from his personal St. Louis Cardinals collection. An avid fan since his childhood in Batavia, NY, Ernie followed the Cardinals farm team, the Rochester Red Wings. Expect to learn about bats and baseballs, the evolution of the Cardinal stadiums and see all 11 championship rings. We will reminisce about Don Denkinger, an umpire, and Stan Musial, Ozzie Smith, and other great Cardinal players. Come and enjoy an afternoon of baseball talk with Doris and Ernie. A Renaissance man, Dr. Ernie Found is a freshly retired orthopedic surgeon, a magician, a musician and wonderful storyteller. Doris may not get a word in edgewise! In addition, don’t miss Ernie’s Friend Club debut and his personal tribute to the Chicago Cubs! Register with a Friends Club representative at 319-679-2103 or FriendsClub@HillsBank.com

The tour will include a visit to three local wineries, including Fireside Winery in Marengo, Cedar Ridge Winery in Swisher, and Brick Arch Winery in West Branch. Enjoy an educational experience while tasting a variety of wines and spirits, and end the day exploring the shops in West Branch. Cost is $65 per person and includes motorcoach transportation, samples at each stop, boxed lunch, and all taxes and gratuities.
