Save Money for You - and Your School
Did you know your Hills Bank debit card can help you save for yourself and your favorite school – at the same time? Just sign up for Simple Change and Classroom Cash! Each time you make a purchase using your debit card, Simple Change rounds up to the nearest dollar and deposits that “change” to an account of your choice. Meanwhile, by using our Classroom Cash program you’ll help earn money for schools each time you use your debit card. Here’s how these programs work and how you can sign up!
Simple Change
With Simple Change, you can build your savings balance automatically with everyday purchases using your Hills Bank debit card. Simple Change rounds up your purchase total to the nearest dollar amount, then transfers the difference between the purchase amount and the rounded amount from your checking account to a deposit account of your choice. It’s an easy way to build your savings just by shopping with your debit card!
To enroll, you must have a Hills Bank checking account with a Hills Bank debit card, as well as an additional checking, savings, or money market account. If you don't have both of those accounts already, you can apply online to get started.
How to Enroll in Simple Change:
- Log into your Hills Bank Online account through your browser or mobile app.
- Select "Services" along the left-hand navigation bar.
- Click "Enroll in Simple Change" and follow the instructions. You will need the last six digits of your debit card as well as the account number of the account you wish to receive the "change" from your purchases.

We make Classroom Cash donations to schools across the Corridor based on our customers’ debit card usage. When you use your debit card, Hills Bank will contribute to funds sent directly to a school of your choice. It’s a great way to make a difference in our community schools!
