Are you ready to buy a home, but not sure if you can afford a down payment? You could be eligible for down payment & closing cost assistance via the programs below. 

These programs have special eligibility requirements. If you meet them, you can receive a loan, grant, or other financial assistance to help you purchase a home.

City of Cedar Rapids

The First Time Home Buyer program provides down payment and closing cost assistance to eligible first-time homebuyers, forgivable after 5 years.

The J2H program from the Neighborhood Finance Corporation provides down payment assistance (via a deferred loan) to African American homebuyers in Polk and Linn Counties.
