Paid Time Off (PTO)

Profit Sharing and Employee Stock Ownership (ESOP)
- Funded entirely by the Bank, employees may receive a contribution of up to 9% of their annual salary at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
- Employees can contribute on a pre-tax or Roth after-tax basis up to the annual IRS limit. The bank matches $.25 for every dollar contributed up to a maximum match of 1% the employee’s annual salary.
Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
- Employees may purchase common stock shares of Hills Bancorporation (the holding company for Hills Bank) through payroll deduction.
Peace and Protection
Our short-term disability, long-term disability, and life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance aims to free our employees from worry about life’s unexpected occurrences. Supplemental life insurance is also available to employees and their family members.
