Ag Month

Ag Month

Agriculture is intertwined with Hills Bank’s history, heritage, and values, and remains an important part of our culture today. We celebrate our agricultural roots with Ag Month: an annual celebration of spring and agriculture, including events all March long! Check out the many different Ag Month activities below and enjoy all the new beginnings this spring will bring.

2021 Changes

Our annual Ag Month celebration will look a little different this year than in years past. There will be no in-branch displays or tables with giveaways, and you will not notice the little peeps of baby chicks in our lobbies in the middle of March. But we are still celebrating the beginning of spring with an Ag Month like you have never seen before!

Baby Chick Hatchings

Baby chicks are scheduled to hatch the week of March 22nd. You can watch their progress and view a live video of the hatched chicks by liking and following our Facebook page. After they hatch, the chicks are taken to a good home on a local farm.

To avoid the spread of COVID-19, we will not be hatching baby chicks in our branch lobbies like usual. The only baby chicks hatching will be at our Hills, IA location. If you’d like to see the baby chicks, please tune in to our Facebook page.

Lucky Egg Contest

Thank you to everyone who submitted a guess in this year’s Lucky Egg Contest! If you are a winner we will contact you via email.
