If you’ve ever switched your checking account to a new bank, you know the process can be frustrating. Your electric bill that you pay automatically somehow doesn’t get changed or you forget to contact your employer regarding direct deposit. Both of which can result in a time consuming inconvenience.
But what if you didn’t have to deal with that inconvenience? What if all you had to do was sign a few forms and let us handle everything else? Sounds pretty good doesn’t it? That’s the idea behind the Hills Bank Easy Switch kit. Interested? Read on.
Switching to Hills Bank is as easy as 1 – 2 – 3.
1. Open a Hills Bank Checking Account
We make opening a new account easy. You can apply for a new account online whenever it fits your schedule or visit any of our 12 convenient locations to talk to a Customer Service Representative. Have more questions? Feel free to call 1-800-HILLSBK or email us for more information.
2. Making the Switch
We will walk you through the switch of all your direct deposits and automatic payments so you don’t have to worry about all the details. The only thing we need from you is the list of names, addresses, phone numbers, account numbers, and amounts. A copy of your most recent bank statement would be helpful and can move the process along a little faster.
When we have completed all the forms, we will mail them to you for your signature, along with a postage paid envelope to return your signed forms.

3. Closing Your Account at Your Former Bank
We will monitor your new account weekly to make sure that all of your automatic payments and direct deposits have switched to your new Hills Bank checking account. As soon as everything has been switched, we will notify you that your old account will soon be closed.
