Classrooom Cash empowers you to earn money for the Iowa private school or public school district of your choice each time you make a purchase with your Hills Bank debit card. With every purchase, the bank will make a donation back to the school. There is no cost to you, it’s just a great way for us to make a difference in our community schools – together.
If you are already a Hills Bank debit card customer, you just need to fill out an application and drop it off at any Hills Bank location.
If you are not a Hills Bank customer, simply visit a Hills Bank location or apply online for a checking account with a Hills Bank debit card. Once you have your debit card you can begin making purchases and earning money for your school.

A: Yes, it is really free! There is no cost to you or your designated school to enroll in the program. Hills Bank makes the donation to the school of your choice.
Q: How do I enroll in Classroom Cash?
A: To enroll, customers must open a Hills Bank checking account with a Hills Bank debit card (if they don’t already have one) and enroll in the Classroom Cash program by designating an Iowa private school or public school district. For existing customers, enrollment is easy! Customers can call 1-800-445-5725, apply online, or stop by any Hills Bank location to sign up.

A: Use it wherever Visa® debit cards are accepted. Customers may earn money for their favorite school with every debit card purchase – use it for groceries, movies, travel and everyday purchases. ATM transactions are not included in this program.
Q: My kids go to different schools. Can I register more than one school?
A: No, only one school may be designated for each debit cardholder. If you and your spouse each have a Hills Bank debit card attached to one checking account, you may each designate an Iowa private school or public school district to receive donations. The donations are based upon each card’s usage.

Q: If I move, how do I change my school?

A: No, due to our privacy policy, customers cannot view other customers' information; however the website shows an entire school listing with total number of cards and total dollars earned.
A: Hills Bank imposes no spending requirements or guidelines; we trust that the money will be used to contribute to the betterment of the Iowa private or public school district. Q: Does the donation go into the school's savings account or does the school get all the money at once. When will schools receive the donation?
A: At various times during the year the transactions are totaled for each school and donated directly to the designated school. Q: How much money will my school receive when I use my Hills Bank debit card?
A: Money will accumulate each time a Hills Bank debit card is used. The overall donation each school receives depends on how many customers choose that school. Each time a Hills Bank debit card is used, the designated Iowa private school or public school district will earn 1 to 3¢ (subject to change) per transaction. Q: How much is each transaction worth?
A: Each transaction that requires a signed sales receipt (including internet transactions) is worth 1/10%. For example, a $100 purchase would earn 10¢ for the designated private school or public school district. Each transaction that requires a PIN (with the exception of any ATM transaction) is worth 1¢. Q: Does the dollar amount of my purchases affect the amount given to my school?
A: If your purchase requires a signed sales receipt, the amount of the purchase will affect the amount given to the designated school. Q: Can I see how much has been donated to my school?
A: You may view the Classroom Cash totals for each school. Q: Will I receive a summary of my rewards on my bank statement?
